2 Reasons To Use Artificial Turf On Your Playground

When you are building your daycare, you want to make sure that you have planned enough outside space for the kids to run around and work off that energy. The playground is also a great place for kids to socialize and learn to handle their peers without having actual lessons about that. So, making sure that you have that space is of prime importance. When you are planning that playground, you may want to consider going with artificial turf on the playground instead of natural turf. There are several reasons to do that.

Accessibility

One big reason to use artificial turf is that you are going to have increased accessibility on your playground. Natural turf or things like rubber chips can hide bumps, dips, and holes in the ground. That can be difficult when it comes to kids who use wheelchairs, crutches, or walkers. That can make it so those kids can't participate fully on the playground or play with their peers. That can make the kids feel isolated, which no one wants to have happen. The ground is leveled before artificial turf is laid, which means that there aren't going to be any of those bumps, holes, etc. That lets the kids who use mobility assists get around on the playground and lets them play with their peers.

Maintenance

You are going to spend enough time trying to make sure that everything is taken care of at your child care center, you don't want to have to add in one more maintenance task. Artificial turf is really easy to maintain. All you really need to do is to walk through the playground from time to time to make sure that there aren't any sticks or other debris trapped in it and to make sure that there aren't any tears or other damage to the turf. If you are worried about any dirt that may be on the turf, then you can take a hose and spray it down. That will clean it off and get your artificial turf nice for the kids to play on again. And, as a bonus, you aren't going to have to deal with mud from washing the turf off.

If you are going to run a child care center, you want to make sure that you are going to have a good place for the kids to play outside. They are going to need to be able to run off energy and have fun with their peers. Artificial turf can help you with that.
